Happy February!

No school Thursday Feb.12, Friday Feb.13 and Monday Feb 16

Please see last weeks post about Valentine’s Day and valentine cards on Wednesday Feb. 11

If you wish, Valentines will be handed out on Wednesday Feb. 11.

Morning Class has 22 students, Afternoon class has 20 students.

We learned the letter Ss and Hh

We are getting really good at sounding out VC (vowel consonant) like- it, is, on, am

We have been practicing writing every week and sounding out beginning, middle and end sounds in words

and CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant) like- sat, bib, pup

We learned about the number 6 and lots of ways to show 6

We talked about how it is technically still winter even though our weather has felt like spring

Please bring jackets everyday - Calgary's weather can change in a moment

We will start going outside if weather permits on Fridays and days we have no music or gym to practice recess for grade one

No Library this week due to Teacher Convention - Please bring books back next week
